Palace Releases Official List of 2027 Regular Holidays, Special Non-Working Days
The proclamation identifies the dates to be observed nationwide as regular holidays, special non-working days, additional special non-working days, and a special working day. The schedule will guide government offices, schools, businesses, workers, and families in planning their activities for 2027.
Regular Holidays for 2027
The following dates are declared regular holidays:
- January 1, Friday – New Year’s Day
- March 25, Thursday – Maundy Thursday
- March 26, Friday – Good Friday
- April 9, Friday – Araw ng Kagitingan
- May 1, Saturday – Labor Day
- June 12, Saturday – Independence Day
- August 30, Monday – National Heroes Day
- November 30, Tuesday – Bonifacio Day
- December 25, Saturday – Christmas Day
- December 30, Thursday – Rizal Day
Special Non-Working Days
The proclamation also identifies the following special non-working days:
- August 21, Saturday – Ninoy Aquino Day
- November 1, Monday – All Saints’ Day
- December 8, Wednesday – Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary
- December 31, Friday – Last Day of the Year
Additional Special Non-Working Days
Four more dates were declared additional special non-working days:
- February 6, Saturday – Chinese New Year
- March 27, Saturday – Black Saturday
- November 2, Tuesday – All Souls’ Day
- December 24, Friday – Christmas Eve
According to the proclamation, declaring November 2 and December 24 as additional special non-working days is intended to give families more time to observe traditional All Saints’ Day, All Souls’ Day, and Christmas activities.
EDSA Anniversary Is a Special Working Day
The EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary will be observed on:
- February 25, Thursday – EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary
The date is classified as a special working day.
Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha to Be Announced Separately
The proclamation states that separate proclamations will be issued for the observance of Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha.
The dates will be determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar or Hijra, based on recommendations from the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos and Islamic astronomical calculations whenever possible.
With the 2027 holiday calendar now officially outlined, schools, government agencies, private institutions, employees, and families can begin planning their schedules, activities, and travel arrangements ahead of the coming year.
