Teachers handling Grades 7 to 10 may now use these Ready-Made Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) for Term 2, Week 1 as a reference for classes scheduled on September 16–18, 2026.
Designed for Key Stage 3, the lesson logs follow the DepEd ILAW Framework and provide a clear structure for organizing classroom instruction during the opening week of the term.
The materials are aligned with the expected learning competencies while giving teachers enough flexibility to adjust lessons according to learner needs, available resources, class schedules, and school context.

The DLLs provide a ready reference for planning lessons, activities, and assessment tasks for the week.
Through the ILAW Framework, lessons are arranged to help teachers connect previous learning with new concepts, deepen understanding, provide opportunities for application, and check learner progress.
LEARNING THROUGH THE ILAW FRAMEWORK
At the secondary level, learners are expected to do more than remember and reproduce information.
Lessons increasingly require them to analyze ideas, explain concepts, solve problems, apply learning to real-life situations, communicate effectively, and work independently or with others.
The ILAW-based lesson structure helps teachers organize these experiences in a logical sequence while keeping the learning objectives, classroom activities, and assessment tasks connected.
It also allows teachers to respond to differences in learner readiness, performance, interests, and learning gaps.
SUPPORTING KEY STAGE 3 LEARNERS
Learners in Grades 7 to 10 are developing greater independence and more advanced thinking skills.
Depending on the subject and competency, teachers may provide opportunities for:
critical and analytical thinking;
problem-solving and decision-making;
independent and collaborative work;
inquiry and research activities;
oral and written communication;
presentations and performance tasks;
real-life and contextualized applications; and
remediation or enrichment activities.
These learning experiences may be adjusted depending on the needs and capabilities of each class.
A FLEXIBLE RESOURCE FOR TEACHERS
The ready-made DLLs are meant to make lesson preparation more manageable, particularly for teachers handling several classes, subjects, programs, and other school responsibilities.
They should, however, be used as guides rather than fixed scripts.
Teachers may revise the activities, examples, resources, pacing, and assessment tasks whenever necessary.
Localized examples, differentiated instruction, additional practice, remediation, and enrichment may also be included to make the lessons more appropriate and meaningful for learners.
BEFORE USING THE DLLs
Teachers are encouraged to review each lesson before implementation and check whether the materials are suitable for their classes.
In particular, teachers may:
confirm the learning competencies and objectives;
review the sequence of activities;
check assessment and performance tasks;
adjust pacing based on available instructional time;
contextualize examples and learning situations;
provide additional support or enrichment when needed; and
ensure consistency with current DepEd curriculum requirements and school-level directions.
These Ready-Made DLLs for Key Stage 3 – Term 2, Week 1 are intended to serve as practical supplementary materials as teachers prepare for another term of learning in Grades 7 to 10.
